The first Modernism Award was presented to Harry Hoover and Lucretia Hoover Giese at the Annual Meeting Party on November 1, 2015. The award noted the work of architect Henry B. Hoover and the activity of the Hoover/Giese family in preserving the 1937 Hoover house and publication of Breaking Ground: Henry B. Hoover New England Modern Architect.
