In 1968, a group of Lincoln citizens met to address a growing concern that Lincoln was losing it ability to maintain “a creative mix of diversity of people“ due to lalck of affordable housing.

By 1974, one of the first housing complexes designed in a suburban town was built here. Initially called “Lincoln Cooperative Homes,“ Lincoln Woods is now approaching its 50th anniversary.
