It was a sunny, beautiful afternoon for the reception at the White's peaceful home on Lincoln's south side. Dana Robbat gave a short talk on the history of the Deck House. The White's house was the first of a development of Deck Houses on Stonehedge Road in the early 1960s. FoMA members were glad to converse with Jack White, a sculptor and artist, who enjoyed sharing his inspiration for the house's Japanese shoji screens and Asian aesthetic. The shaded yard and appealing stone terrace made a congenial setting for the fall open house.
