The Friends of Modern Architecture/Lincoln Present: Park Avenue Cubists

Thursday, January 30, 2025    5:00 PM

Lincoln Library - 3 Bedford Rd, Lincoln, MA

The Evening’s Program

Please join us for a screening of Park Avenue Cubists, a film about the life, art, and Bauhaus-inspired home of Suzy Frelinghuysen and George LK Morris, followed by a talk by Suzy’s nephew Kinney and his son Thomas.

The film provides insight into this dynamic couple and their roles and relationships with the Modern Art movement in New York as well as the Berkshires.

About the Studio and House

The first Modernist building in New England, the 1931 studio and house were the setting for a remarkably creative life shared by Suzy Frelinghuysen and George LK Morris.  A recipient of a grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio foundation has created a program to interpret Suzy’s paintings with a STEAM component for K-5.
